About

Suhasini Gupta is a children's book author, an engineer, a devoted mom of two energetic kids, and a dreamer. She was born and raised in India and currently lives in Texas with her husband and kids. She is the author of her debut picture book, Kai Po Che: Mini's Perfect Kite, illustrated by Devika Oza (Gnome Road Publishing, 2025).
 

Suhasini enjoys writing fun and imaginative stories that celebrate her rich Indian heritage, inspire interest in STEM, and bring joy and wonder to young readers. When she's not crafting new adventures, she can be found tending to her garden, experimenting with new recipes, enjoying movies, playing piano, and cherishing moments with her loved ones.
 

Suhasini is an active member of SCBWI, MightyKidLit, and Julie Hedlund's 12x12 Picture Book Challenge. In 2023, she won the #SpringFlingKidLit and #SunWriteFun awards and received Honorable Mentions in Vivian Kirkfield's 50PreciousWords and  PBParty contests.
